The GreenFields provides unparalleled cardiac rehabilitation for those who are managing cardiovascular disease or congestive heart failure, or for those who may be recovering from surgery or a sudden event, such as a heart attack. We’ll be there to provide support you every step of the way as you rebuild your strength, regain your independence and get back to doing the things you love most.

A multi-disciplinary team of health care providers, including physicians, doctors of physical therapy, cardiac-trained nurses, occupational and speech therapists, case managers and dietitians, will work with you to develop a care plan that is tailored to your unique needs. Using an individualized approach, our team will help you to restore lost function, increase stamina and endurance, reduce risk factors and improve your quality of life.
We are committed to delivering the highest quality care. In addition to having specialty physicians on staff, our nurses receive ongoing cardiac education and advanced cardiovascular life-support (ACLS) training. We are equipped with advanced technology including EKG, life vests and automated external defibrillators.

Inpatient to Outpatient
Our cardiac rehabilitation program includes an option to seamlessly transition from an inpatient stay to our state-of-the-art outpatient clinic where you will continue to receive customized care to help you achieve your long-term goals. Once completed, you have the option to convert to an exercise program at a gym or continue with one of our wellness and aquatic programs.

Preoperative Planning and Education
Preoperative education has been shown to reduce complications and to help patients come away from surgery with increased mobility and function. Research also indicates that an early start to rehabilitation can optimize functional gains. Simply put, educated patients have better health outcomes.
During your three (3) one-hour sessions, you’ll work one-on-one with a doctor of physical therapy who will help you get ready for your upcoming surgery.
Session 1: Preoperative exercises – Land-based techniques to help improve strength and mobility in our state-of-the-art outpatient facility
Session 2: Preoperative exercises – Aquatic-based movement to help minimize pain in our full-sized therapeutic pool
Session 3: Customized preoperative planning – Tailored instruction based on your diagnosis and individual needs including the use of adaptive equipment and home preparation education
