Stroke Rehabilitation Program
Recovery is not easy, but there is hope. Our therapists use a compassionate approach to care to help empower those impacted by stroke on their journey to recovery. Their goal is to return you to your highest level of functioning and help you regain the skills you need to achieve your independence. There is life beyond a stroke and we’ll be there to support you and your loved ones every step of the way.
Continue your rehabilitation in our expansive outpatient therapy & wellness clinic. Led by a team of doctors of physical therapy, we’re proud to offer one of the area’s most comprehensive arrays of outpatient services, all designed to help you achieve your long-term goals.
Adult Cognitive Therapy Program
Our adult cognitive therapy program was developed with both patients and caregivers in mind. Cognitive impairment can impact all areas of life, including the most basic functions like the ability to walk, carry on a conversation, or problem-solve. Our goal is to return you to your highest level of functioning as quickly as possible and to improve your quality of life.
We offer a comprehensive range of services in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including physical, occupational and speech therapy. Our program is led by specialists who use evidence-based interventions and who have expertise working with unique and complex challenges.
Our team will assess memory, attention, problem-solving, reasoning, safety awareness, orientation, thought sequencing and function. They will design an intervention plan that will help to redirect pathways in the brain and assist you with relearning lost skills.
With structured guidance, you’ll have an opportunity to practice daily activities and social interactions in a safe, supportive environment so that you’re physically and mentally prepared to take back your independence.
Outpatient adult cognitive therapy
Our outpatient therapy team will help you refine the skills that you need to maintain your independence. Using a targeted blend of physical, speech and occupational therapy, we’ll help you learn to adapt to your environment – whether at work, home or out in the community – and teach you how to use practical home items, apps and cognitive-based books to help improve your cognitive functioning.
We encourage families and loved ones to be an active part of planning and recovery process. We recognize that being a caregiver for someone with cognitive impairment is challenging – we are here to provide education, emotional support and resources when you need them most.
