The Niagara Lutheran Health System boasts a rather sizable group of hardworking and generous people who are members of the Niagara Lutheran Health System Guild. The Guild serves an important function in enhancing the lives of our residents. The Guild not only raises funds to help with purchasing many needed items, it serves as a resource for volunteers. In 2015 alone, the Guild raised over $17,000 through their annual fundraisers, the redemption of Dash’s Market receipt tapes, and grants from Thrivent Financial. With these funds the Guild was able to purchase dining equipment for GreenField Health & Rehabilitation Center as well as an iPad for its residents to use for activities and occupational therapy. The Guild also purchased Christmas gifts, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day gifts for the residents of GreenField Health & Rehabilitation Center, GreenField Court, and GreenField Terrace.
This year the Guild met with great success at their May meeting, as they held their first ever Guild Fashion Show Fundraiser at GreenField Manor. Between door prizes, table prizes, the fashion show, and lunch the attendees had a great time and raised a great deal of money for The GreenFields Continuing Care Community.
Guild membership is open to everyone, and yearly dues continue to be only $5. The attendance at meetings continues to grow.
