On Friday, June 30, the Creative Arts Studio at GreenField Manor and GreenField Court was dedicated to former resident, Josephine “Jodi” King. Jodi passed away on December 6, 2015. She was a long-time resident at The GreenFields and a regular at the Creative Arts Studio. Jodi generously left The GreenFields Continuing Care Community in her will, through the Legacies for Life program, Niagara Lutheran Health System’s planned giving program. We dedicated our beautifully remodeled Manor and Court Creative Arts Studio in memory of Jodi, whose estate gift made the remodel possible.
Friends and family of Jodi came to celebrate the dedication. The upgrades to the studio include a new floor, new and painted cupboards and countertops, and new tables.
Jodi was born on November 29, 1911 and lived to be 104 years old. She was known for her caring nature and her faith. Her secret to a long life was “love of God, staying active and a nap everyday in my apartment.” She is greatly missed by all who knew her.
