May 25, 2021
The year 2020 will certainly be remembered throughout history as the year of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is hard to fathom that we are still battling its effects, so many months after the onset of the pandemic. While this year is already almost half over, it’s still unclear what 2021 may be remembered for. Here at The GreenFields, we look forward to remembering 2021 as the year that normalcy finally returned to our campus.
While this remains everyone’s goal, getting “back to normal” remains a journey, not a destination. Please be assured that visitation remains as one of our top priorities. However, we must continue to follow the New York State Department of Health regulations when it comes to visitation, and this may mean that, from time to time, we might have to adjust our visitation policies for the well-being of our residents, employees, and the community. Please keep in mind we are mandated to follow the NYS DOH regulations, not the CDC guidelines.
We continue to be so proud of our dedicated staff, our residents and patients, and their families for how everyone has handled this ordeal. We look forward to the restoration of the personal connections that we all took for granted for so long, and we’ll continue to ask New York State leadership for more manageable regulations to allow these connections to resume.
In the meantime, we will continue to keep you informed. Best wishes for a safe and restful summer, and thank you for your continued support of our organization.
Sincerely,
Christopher E Koenig, PT, DPT, MBA, NHA
